Heskey's off mark

14 April 2012

Emile Heskey scored his first Birmingham goal as the Premiership side won 2-0 at Exeter in a friendly.

Heskey, signed for £6.25million from Liverpool, was on target after being given extra time to recover from playing at Euro 2004.

Mikael Forssell, beginning his second season on loan from Chelsea, netted the opener before Heskey struck.

Meanwhile, Marian Pahars could miss the start of the season after limping out of Southampton's 2-1 win at Swindon.
