Holloway backs Carlisle

14 April 2012

Richard Edghill and Kevin McLeod have returned from injury, allowing manager Ian Holloway to select from almost a full-strength squad for QPR's trip to Peterborough tomorrow.

Centre-back Clarke Carlisle also trained today, after recovering from a flu virus. Holloway had hoped to give Carlisle a game against Kidderminster on Tuesday, following his treatment for an alcohol-related illness, and will make a late decision on his fitness.

He said: "Clarke has got to regain the respect of the team and he's doing it every day. I'm proud of the way he's held his hand up and admitted his problem."

Rangers could do with Carlisle at London Road because on-loan defender Arthur Gnohere has been called back by Burnley after their 6-1 defeat by Ipswich this week.
