Holloway left with more ills

Ian Hollway has admitted that he only made the trip to Leeds on Saturday to quash speculation linking him with the vacant manager's post at Wolves.

The Queens Park Rangers manager missed training last Thursday and Friday with a virus but emerged from his sick bed to watch his team get thrashed 6-1 at Elland Road after they had been given the lead by Gareth Ainsworth.

Holloway said: "I won't need to pick up the lads, just being there at training today will be all that is needed to bounce back and to end all this speculation about me joining Wolves. I felt so bad on Saturday that I shouldn't have gone but I felt I had to."

Brian Deane was the hero for Leeds, bagging a four-timer.
