Paul O'Brien previews the action for the floodlit racing at Wolverhampton..

Inexplicable (6pm, Wolverhampton) @ 4/1

Everything went wrong for seven-year-old gelding Inexplicable last time out at this track on January 29. He stumbled at the start but recovered very quickly, couldn't find a gap down the outside approaching the final furlong, switched back to the inner where he stayed on but never threatened the top two, and finished third.

He went off as favourite for that "inexplicable" performance and was well backed, and could well redeem himself this time around, and should be at a better price for punters.

King’s Reign (6.30pm, Wolverhampton) @ 2/1

There are two exceptionally well-bred Godolphin horses in this novices race. Three-year-old colt Los Toldos was sired by the legendary Frankel and his dam Evita Peron was winner over a mile at Ascot so it's interesting to be raced over 1m4f on his debut.

The other Godolphin horse King's Reign was sired by Dubawi and his dam God Given won a Group 2 race at Doncaster over 1m6f and a Group 1 race in Italy over 1m2f. Jockey Tom Marquand, who had a good win at Kempton on Feb 7, will be riding King's Reign, now that Godolphin first-choice jockey William Buick is currently riding out in Dubai.

Los Toldos may make it difficult for King's Reign but the three-year-old colt's pedigree to stay the longer distances should see him come away from the rest in the final furlong.

Haku (8pm, Wolverhampton) @ 4/1

This five-year-old gelding pulled very hard throughout last time out at Kempton Park on January 27, but got stuck at the back of the pack without a chance of being in the fray. His penultimate run at Southwell on January 5 was much more encouraging, he was in the lead in the final furlong but was narrowly beaten.

On that outing he beat Heathen, who also races today, by over five lengths. Providing Haku settles better this time round he should win this Class 4 race which is an easier proposition than his last two outings.
