I thought my chance had gone, admits Sidwell

Chelsea midfielder Steve Sidwell says he thought his chance of playing for a top club had passed when he left Arsenal five years ago.

Ahead of the Blue clash with Blackburn on Saturday, the former Reading star said: "If you'd asked me about the chances of signing for a team like Chelsea back then, I'd have said it was very unlikely."

Chelsea entertain Blackburn Rovers on Saturday and will be keen to return to winning form by extending their exceptional unbeaten home record under coach Jose Mourinho.
