Darren Gough could become the second English player to sign up for the Indian Premier League.

Former Yorkshire captain Gough, 38, retired from first-class cricket last week but he is due to meet IPL officials to discuss the possibility of taking part in the Twenty20 tournament next April.

"I can still bowl and I'd like to test myself at that level again. The IPL would be a great buzz for me," he said.

Hampshire all-rounder Dimitri Mascarenhas was the one English representative in the first season of the IPL.
