Jackett's tribute to Lionhearts

Late show: Scorer Grabban
Ben Hunt13 April 2012

Kenny Jackett hailed Millwall after they overcame the 48th-minute dismissal of Jimmy Abdou to beat Hereford 1-0 and climb to second in the table.

The midfielder was sent off for a high tackle on Clint Easton but Millwall dug in and were rewarded when Lewis Grabban lashed in the only goal at The Den four minutes from time.

Manager Jackett said: "At first I didn't think it was a red card but his feet did leave the floor. Perhaps we played better with 10 players rather than 11."

Jackett is now hoping that his side build on their start to the campaign. He said: "We were tight at the back, our passing improved as the game went on and we controlled the latter part of it.

"We will keep trying to improve as a team as every game is a different challenge we have the spirit and determination to do so."
