Jacksonville Jaguars' madcap mascot Jaxson De Ville hits the streets of London ahead of NFL game

Conjure up the image of a football mascot and you are likely to be greeted by the vision of a cuddly creature whose presence on matchday primarily involves shaking the hands of young fans.

There are exceptions, of course, like Partick Thistle's 'terrifying' creation Kingsley, but somewhat tame antics are the order of the day for mascots on this side of the pond, bar the occasional race.

It looks like they do things a little different on the other side of the pond if Jaxson De Ville, the Jacksonville Jaguars' mascot, is anything to go by.

The NFL franchise are in the capital ahead of their clash against the Buffalo Bills at Wembley on Sunday afternoon and Jaxson is keen to make the most of his trip to London.

The cheeky critter attended Wednesday's Championship game between Fulham and Leeds United at Craven Cottage - which ended in 1-1 draw - and wasn't shy about mixing it with the fans.

Jaxson mocked supporters of Steve Evans' side by mimicking their actions, sauntered around the pitch and even had a chat with a couple of policeman.

But the event in west London was docile when compared to some of Jaxson's previous antics. He's partial to an adrenaline fuelled activity and has bungee jumped, ziplined, caught on fire and thrown a pie in the face of a rival fan.

He's a bit madcap, but you can't doubt his passion.
