Social media personality Jake Paul hurled a tirade of abuse at Conor McGregor as the YouTuber-cum-boxer looks to set up a fight with the former UFC champion.

The 23-year-old earlier last month brutually knocked out former NBA player Nate Robinson on the undercard of Mike Tyson's return to the ring.

Paul immediately set his sights on McGregor and now claims to have offered the Irishman €50million (£37.35m) to set up a bout between the pair.

"Good morning, Conor McGregor, I know you're probably beating up old dudes in a bar right now," he said on Instagram, referencing McGregor's arrest last year.

Paul then described McGregor's fiancee Dee Devlin as a "four" out of ten, adding: "Conor, you could do a lot better."

He continued: "My team sent you a $50m offer this morning, $50m cash, proof of funds, the biggest fight offer you've ever been offered.

"But you're scared to fight me, Conor. You're ducking me because you don't want to lose to a YouTuber.

'You're 0-1 as a boxer, I'm 2-0 as a boxer, I just came off the eighth-biggest pay-per-view event in history, but you want to fight Dustin Poirier, who has less followers on Instagram than my dog, that's a fact."
