Jibes fire up Naysmith

14 April 2012

Gary Naysmith says Scotland can use Norway's cocky pre-match predictions to their advantage.

Both teams go into Saturday's match at Hampden Park in search of their first Group Five victory.

Naysmith said: "I read that John Arne Riise says he fully expects to win, so if he is speaking on behalf of the team they must be expecting to take three points. That is an incentive to us.

"We have got to continue our good home record in the qualifying games."

Scotland manager Berti Vogts insists it is not a must-win game for his side but the pressure is on the visitors, who take on Slovenia next week while the Scots are in Moldova.
