Jimenz at home in Shanghai

Evening Standard13 April 2012

Miguel Angel Jimenez felt completely at home in Shanghai today as he equalled the course record to establish an early clubhouse lead in the second round of the BMW Asian Open.

The Spaniard (above) began with two birdies and added four more over the final six holes to card a six-under-par 66 to be seven under for the tournament.

His score, which matched that of firstround leader Simon Dyson, gave Jimenez a one-shot lead over Germany's Alex Cejka and American Greg Hanrahan at the Pudong Golf Club.

Englishman Dyson and Thai Prayad Marksaeng were also on six under out on the course after five and four holes respectively. Jimenez said: "I hit it well and was consistent. I love it here."
