Knights blown away by Storm

Paul Fielder13 April 2012

London Knights went down 4-3 to Manchester Storm at the MEN Arena last night.

It was Manchester's first win after a run of seven successive defeats,.

With Cardiff Devils recording their 11th win in a row against Bracknell last night, second place in the Superleague is now out of reach for London and, with Randy Perry being the only London player penalised for two interference penalties, Knights may already have one eye on the end-of-season play-offs.

Brendan Yarema had given London a fifth minute lead on the powerplay but goals from Brent Bobyck and the league's top scorer Greg Bullock saw Storm take a 2-1 advantage before Rich Bronilla equalised for Knights.

Bullock's second and another from Pierre Allard seemed to have given Storm a comfortable win but a Claude Jutras powerplay strike with three minutes left set up a tight finish.
