Last session for England

Fabio Capello gave a clean bill of health as his England squad went through their paces for the final time before they open their World Cup campaign against the United States on Saturday.

Midfielder James Milner, who had missed three days' training due to a virus, was able to make the session at the Rustenburg stadium, where Saturday's game will be played.

And, with Ledley King on the pitch, Capello had all 23 players available, as he wanted when his squad flew out to South Africa 10 days ago.

Capello has kept his cards very close to his chest in terms of team selection.

The Italian has confirmed he knows what his line-up will be but is not believed to have told the players its make-up.

Robert Green is judged favourite for the goalkeeping slot but David James and Joe Hart also have genuine hopes of selection.

In defence, the choice at right-back is between Glen Johnson and Liverpool team-mate, Jamie Carragher, while, in central defence, King is thought more likely to partner former captain John Terry than Matthew Upson.

It has been expected new skipper Steven Gerrard would line up alongside Frank Lampard in midfield, although rumours have been spreading about a possible starting berth for either Michael Carrick or James Milner in a holding role, which would come at the expense of either Joe Cole or Emile Heskey.
