Leeds misery continues

Peter Reid blasted his Leeds United side after their poor pre-season continued with a 2-0 defeat to Shelbourne in the Dublin Tournament.

"The team attitude wasn't right," said the Leeds manager. "We got a goal against us and we just fell apart."

Aston Villa ended the tournament with a 6-0 victory over St Patrick's.

David Thompson's stunning volley earned Blackburn a 1-0 win over Italian side Chievo at Ewood Park.
