Lewington makes his point

Ray Lewington believes his Watford side were unlucky not to secure a point against Reading.

Watford wasted a number of opportunities and were punished when Steve Sidwell scored the only goal of the game in the 65th minute.

"We had the better chances and deserved something," said manager Lewington.

According to Lewington, a 3-0 Carling Cup win against Steve Coppell's side in midweek prior to the match served as motivation for Reading. "We knew they would be even more determined to win this game," he said.
