Ling rewards his Diamond geezer

Martin Ling has continued his planning for next season by offering centre-back Mark Peters a new contract.

Peters signed from Rushden & Diamonds until the end of the season last September and since then has played every game, scoring one goal in 34 appearances.

Manager Ling said: "Mark has been in excellent form for the most part. I'm happy to offer him terms for next season and glad he'll be staying with us."

David Hunt starts a six-match ban against Lincoln tomorrow, with Justin Miller replacing him in midfield, but Donny Barnard should recover from a slight knock to take his place at full-back.
