Lowes staying with Wolves

12 April 2012

Former Great Britain international James Lowes is to stay with Challenge Cup winners Warrington after agreeing a new contract.

The ex-Bradford hooker lost his position as Wolves head coach in March when England boss Tony Smith assumed control, with Lowes moved aside to become first-team coach.

Out of contract at the end of the season, Lowes had been linked with a return to the Bulls but he has agreed a new 12-month deal to stay at the Halliwell Jones Stadium as part of a backroom re-shuffle.

Reserves coach Richard Marshall will provide support to Smith and Lowes following the departure of Nigel Wright, and Chris Baron joins the club as strength and conditioning coach on a two-year deal from Leicester Tigers.
