Luis stands by race claim

Luis Boa Morte today indicated that his racism row with Duncan Ferguson is far from over.

Fulham and Everton want the players to shake hands and call off the Football Association's investigation. But Fulham winger Boa Morte stands by his claim that Ferguson called him a 'black ****' in an FA Cup tie at Goodison Park last month and says he is still upset.

The Everton striker has denied the allegation and wants to clear his name, so the chances of an amicable solution are looking very slim.

Boa Morte said: 'Things have to be done properly.' On the racism claim, he added: 'I feel sad about it because I have been in England for six and a half years and I have never had that happen to me, not in England or Portugal or anywhere I have played international football.

'I just feel really sad. Things unfortunately happen in football but no one likes that. I am black and it is not my fault that I am black.'
