Manchester United release Chinese striker Dong Fangzhuo

Manchester United have released Chinese striker Dong Fangzhuo after his
contract was cancelled by mutual consent.

Locked out: Dong is not wanted at Old Trafford.

The 23-year-old joined the club in January 2004 but spent two years on loan at Royal Antwerp as he awaited a work permit to play in England.

He broke into the first team in May 2007 but made only two senior
appearances last season as he struggled to make an impression.
