Mark Hughes said he was proud of Manchester City despite them crashing out of the Uefa Cup.

City beat Hamburg 2-1 on the night but lost 4-3 on aggregate as the Germans reached the last four.

Hughes (above) met billionaire chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak before the match and said: "It was fine and I am still here."

Hamburg took the lead through Paolo Guerrero but City came back with goals from Elano and Felipe Caicedo.
