McNamara relieved by win

12 April 2012

Bradford coach Steve McNamara was relieved after his side survived a remarkable second-half comeback against courageous Huddersfield in engage Super League and made it three successive wins.

The Giants staged a remarkable comeback with a try-scoring flurry and actually took the lead with eight minutes to go, but in the end the Bulls' power, pace and determination proved conclusive and they ran out 42-30 winners.

McNamara said: "At 30-24 to Huddersfield I could not believe how we could have dominated the game so much and yet be behind. The players have been low on confidence recently and some of them have been criticised. But they have stuck to the task and got us out of a hole. We have been taught a few lessons about taking your foot off the gas."

He added: "Huddersfield are a good side and if you make mistakes as we did you will get punished. However, my players are coming back to form just in time for the play-offs."
