Mickelson: beware Tiger

Phil Mickelson today warned it is only a matter of time before Tiger Woods resumes his domination of golf.

Seven majors have passed since Woods last won one of the sport's elite tournaments and his record 253-week reign as world No1 could end after the US Open if he finishes out of the top six and Ernie Els wins.

But Mickelson, who secured his maiden major in the Masters two months ago, said: "When Tiger reaches his level of play he is almost unstoppable. I wouldn't rule him out of playing at that level again and it's likely to happen soon."
