Mild fears World Cup blow

Wimbledon's Hakan Mild will fly back to Sweden to see a specialist about his groin injury today, with fears that he could end up missing the World Cup in Japan and South Korea.

Mild limped off after an hour in Wimbledon's 1-0 victory at Millwall on Saturday after suffering a recurrence of the injury that has kept him out of action for two months.

The midfielder only made his long-awaited comeback last week and has played just six games since completing a move from Gothenburg to Wimbledon in November. Dons manager Terry Burton said: "It's very frustrating for him".
