Millwall's terrible plight

Millwall can sense their promotion hopes going down the plughole.

Fans at The Den are starting to get impatient with Millwall's form and assistant manager Ray Wilkins admits the players are low on confidence.

"It is a little bit doom and gloom at the moment," he said. "The dressing room is in a terrible state but as a management team we have to turn that around."

Meanwhile, QPR manager Ian Holloway has promised to take his squad out for a party if they reach his Championship survival target of 52 points. They are currently eight points away.

"I think the lads are enjoying being here at the moment," he said. "We've brought in a few players on loan and it's increased the competition, which I think is always a good thing.

"I don't think we've achieved anything yet, not until we've reached our target of 52 points, and when we do that I'll take my lads out for a party."
