More misery for injured McEwen

Australia's Robbie McEwen, the current leader in the green jersey competition, was dropped by the peloton early on Stage 11 of the Tour de France today.

McEwen has a knee injury and is set for a long day as the riders made their way from Saint-Flour to Figeac in hot sunshine.

Fabian Wegmann of the Gerolsteiner team led over the Cote des Ternes - the day's first climb.
