Mourinho tipped to take charge of Portugal

Jose Mourinho has been tipped to take charge of the Portugal national team following his dramatic departure from Chelsea.

Mourinho left Stamford Bridge by mutual consent on Thursday morning but the bookmakers have been quick to start a book on where he might manage next.

Portuguese media are also reporting the manager will either head home to Benfica or pursue interest at Inter Milan.

The Portugal hotseat, currently occupied by Luiz Felipe Scolari is favourite at 2/1, with Barcelona - a club Mourinho used to work for but with whom he has enjoyed a fraught relationship while at Chelsea - next on the list at 5/2.

Real Madrid are also in the mix but bookmakers William Hill only rate Mourinho at 16/1 for an immediate return to the Premier League.
