Moyes frustration continues as Everton set to miss out on Tiago and Moutinho

Everton were facing more frustration in their efforts to bolster a threadbare squad last night after appearing to miss out on Joao Moutinho and Tiago.

Despite lengthy negotiations with Juventus over Tiago, and appearing to be on the verge of agreeing a fee for a season-long loan, Everton chiefs were rocked by claims the former Chelsea midfielder had no intention of returning to England.

Mout point: Portugal star Joao Moutinho appears to be out of Everton's price range.

Moutinho appears to be out of reach after Sporting Lisbon held firm over a £20million-plus valuation.
