Multi-monickered Jelena could be having a real identity crisis

Coaches use all sort of techniques to encourage their players but Jelena Jankovic's camp seem to have more names for her that she could possibly remember. As she lost on Court 18 yesterday, shouted soubriquets included 'JJ' and 'champion', which seems particularly ironic considering Jankovic (right) has never reached a Grand Slam final. But the winner has to be from coach Ricardo Sanchez: 'Ferrari. Yep, go, come on Ferrari." The way she played yesterday, she was more like Chris Eaton's banged up Vauxhall - with the duct tape on the mirror reflected in the bandage on her knee.
