Danny Murphy has told Fulham fans they must retain faith in the club's ambitions despite the sale of Jimmy Bullard to Hull City.

Chanting of Bullard's name rang loud and clear from the Fulham section of the crowd during the 4-2 FA Cup win over Kettering.

Bullard has denied he left the club for more money and Murphy said: "A lot has been talked about the politics behind all this.

"The simple fact is that opportunities come along where security for Jimmy and his family was there and he decided to take that opportunity. I can't criticise him for that."
