Saqlain Mushtaq, Surrey's match-winning spinner, may have reached the end of the road at The Oval after seven magnificent seasons of county cricket.
He sees a specialist about his long-standing knee injury today and unless he is given an encouraging report his contract, which expires at the end of the season, may not be renewed.
