NBA vow London will get top clash

The NBA insist London will stage a regular season basketball game before the 2012 Olympics here.

For the fourth year in a row the O2 Arena will host a friendly when champions LA Lakers, featuring Kobe Bryant, take on Minnesota Timberwolves on 4 October.

NBA chief David Stern said: "Prior to the Olympics, we will play regular season games in London. I fully expect to deliver on that intention."
