Ndah fights to be fit for final fling

Wolves striker George Ndah has been to see a specialist as he fights to be fit for Monday's play-off final against Sheffield United.

He sustained a knee injury in the first leg of the semi-final against Reading and has been on the treatment table ever since.

But after days of pain he appears to be on the mend. Physiotherapist Barry Holmes said: "The pain and swelling has improved considerably and we are pleased with his progress."

"We have explored all options to try and help George be fit."

Wolves manager Dave Jones is confident about his side's chances. He said: "We're going into the game on a run of good form, which is heartening. The players are just totally focused on the job in hand."

Sheffield United manager Neil Warnock fears the break-up of his side this summer if they fail to reach the Premier League.

Warnock said: "I'm resigned to the fact players will go this summer if we aren't promoted. We know we won't be able to keep certain players whose contracts are up."
