New boss Capello looks set to give Ferdinand England armband

New boss Fabio Capello is considering a shock move to make Rio Ferdinand the new England skipper.
The Daily Star has revealed the Italian is a big fan of the Manchester United star and tried to sign him when he was the manager at Roma.
Capello: Keen to make early impact
The traditional Italian philosophy is to have a defneder leading the side, notably the likes of Franco Baresi and Paulo Maldini.
