New deal for Welham

12 April 2012

Hull KR have extended the contract of centre Kris Welham until the end of the 2009 season.

The 21-year-old academy graduate has become a fixture in Justin Morgan's side following a mid-season injury to Chev Walker and has been rewarded for his recent form, which saw him score one of the tries in Friday's win over the Catalans Dragons.

"Kris is a player with huge amounts of talent and natural skill," Morgan said.

"He will develop into a great footballer in time. He has improved considerably over the past few months and is really benefiting from his time with the more senior players of the squad."
