Nicol on verge of recall

Scrum-half Andy Nicol is thought to be on the verge of a shock call-up to the Lions 22 for today's third Test against Australia in Sydney.  

The former Scotland captain is expected to be named on the bench for the series decider.

It is understood that wing Austin Healey has withdrawn from the starting line-up with a back injury, meaning a swift recall for Welshman Dafydd James.

The Lions management were refusing to confirm any changes until shortly before kick off
