No broken leg for Henderson

12 April 2012

Wakefield centre or second row forward Kevin Henderson has not suffered a broken leg but still faces six to eight weeks on the sidelines with ligament damage.

Henderson was taken to hospital after being hurt in Sunday's 16-2 win over Warrington but coach John Kear said on Tuesday: "The prognosis is six weeks out so it could have been worse."

Full-back Matt Blaymire also joined the Wildcats' mounting injury list after sustaining ankle ligament damage, which means coach John Kear will be without 11 players for Saturday's game at Huddersfield.

Jason Demetriou (neck) and Luke George (knee) are both ruled out for the rest of the season while Damien Blanch (shoulder), Paul Reilly (neck), Brad Drew (hand), Brett Ferres (shoulder), Joe Hirst (leg), Dale Ferguson (shoulder) and Kyle Bibb (bicep) are recovering from injury.
