No InterToto Cup adventure for Charlton

Charlton will not be entering the InterToto Cup this season.

Manager Alan Curbishley, who is not a fan of the competition and the extra games it brings, believes his side can qualify for Europe through the League.

They are fourth in the Premiership and would enter the Champions League if they are there at the end of the season.

If they fall short, Curbishley's side could qualify for the UEFA Cup by finishing fifth and are also well placed to enter the competition via UEFA's Fair Play rankings.
