Andy Murray eased into the quarter-finals at the Dubai Championships with a 6-3, 6-4 win over Marco Chiudinelli today.

The Briton, who struggled with nausea against Germany's Michael Berrer yesterday, broke the
185th-ranked Swiss to go up 3-1 before serving out the first set.

The second set was closer as both players held serve for the first eight games.

But then Murray broke Chiudinelli to go up 5-4 and won the match with an unreturnable serve.

The world No4, who came to the tournament after 10
days' training with Ivan Lendl in Miami, said: "I worked on my serve a lot in the States and it was good today. I played better and felt better too."

Murray next plays fifth seed Tomas Berdych, who beat Slovakia's Lukas Lacko 6-1, 6-2.
