Barker braced for ‘massive’ GB test

Teenage cyclist Elinor Barker is out to impress at this weekend’s Track World Cup in Glasgow.

The first international at the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome heralds the start of planning for the 2016 Olympics and Barker, 18, rides in place of Joanna Rowsell for Great Britain in the 3km team pursuit.

“It’s a massive opportunity,” said Barker. “I’ve got the best in the world to try to keep up with.”
