Ding F-word rant costs him a fine

Ding Junhui was today fined by snooker chiefs for swearing at a press conference during the World Championships in April.

The 25-year-old Chinese used the F-word during a rant about fans at Sheffield’s Crucible after his first-round defeat by Ryan Day.

A spokesman for the game’s world governing body admitted Ding’s offence had been missed at the time but they have fined him £250.
