ePremier League: F2Tekkz survives scare, Arsenal, Chelsea, Crystal Palace, Tottenham through to quarter-finals

After a tense day of group stage matches, it was the competition favourite F2Tekkz who was left clinging onto his ePremier League dream.

The 17-year-old, real name Donovan Hunt, suffered a shock setback in his first group match for Liverpool, going down 3-2 to Man City's iBattle Cat, who went on to go undefeated in the group stage.

But the top-ranked Fifa 19 player in the world recovered with three straight victories to book his place in the quarter-final.

Crystal Palace gamer Damie finished level with Manchester United's KyleLeese_ at the top of Group A of the Playstation players, with both securing their place in the second round of the ePremier League.

The Eagles gamer finished with a goal difference of +13, suggesting he could be a dark horse heading into the next round.

It was plain sailing for Chelsea's PS4 man Jas 'Jas1875' Singh, who won all four of his group matches, becoming only the second player to do so in the tournament as he qualified for the knockout stages. Cardiff City's Luke Mcilwee squeezed through in second place on goal difference.

Those playing for the London teams in Group C of the endured a day to forget as both Tottenham and Fulham crashed out on goal difference.

Huddersfield teenager Jordan Croft scraped through in second place after beating Spurs player Zimme on the head-to-head rule, meaning he finished ahead of the Tottenham man.

Southampton became the only side to have both of their players in the quarter-finals, after seven wins from their eight matches.

The tournament's youngest player, 16-year-old Diogo 'SCP Diogo' Mendes, clinched his place in the next round after winning three of his four clashes on day one.
