F1 confirmed in bid for stadium

Formula One is one of the four bidders hoping to take over the Olympic Stadium, the London Legacy Development Corporation confirmed today.

Intelligent Transport Services, which has been in talks with F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone, wants to stage a London Grand Prix.

West Ham and Leyton Orient have also submitted bids while the other proposal is from the Burnley‑based UCFB College of Football Business, which runs degree courses on the sport.
