Rafael Nadal won’t make ‘miracle’ Oz return

Rafael Nadal hopes to return to full fitness by April after admitting he is unlikely to play at the Australian Open next month.

The world No4 has been sidelined with a knee injury since June and said today: “My recovery is going well but I will only come back when I am fit.

“I will not rush back and then have to stop again in six months. Miracles do not exist, I am unlikely to return for the Australian Open.”
