Pardew still buying

Alan Pardew today hinted that there could be one more addition to his squad in the near future.

West Ham, who play Rotherham at Upton Park tomorrow night, moved up to fifth place in the Championship table with Saturday's 2-1 win at Sheffield United, prompting Pardew to declare: "I feel more comfortable as West Ham manager now than ever before.

"We've made some very useful additions to the squad in the past couple of weeks and there could still be one more signing."

West Ham have recently shown an interest in Tottenham's Argentine defender Mauricio Taricco.

Midfielder Steve Lomas is suspended for tomorrow night's match, but striker Bobby Zamora could be in the squad after recovering from a knee injury.
