Phelps given court date

Olympic swimming superstar Michael Phelps will face trial after Christmas, charged with drink-driving.

Phelps, who won six gold medals in Athens, was arrested on 4 November. He has also been charged with driving while impaired, violation of a licence restriction and failure to obey a stop sign.

The trial will take place in a district court in Maryland on 29 December.
