Premiership promotion system agreed

The promotion system to the Zurich Premiership has been agreed by the Rugby Football Union, Premier Rugby and English Second Division Rugby.

There will be one-up, one-down promotion and relegation for the next three years to and from the top flight and the issue will be reviewed after that.

RFU chief executive Francis Baron said: "This will give the game certainty and stability on this key issue."
