Price powers way to record

Sarah Price lowered her record for the 200 metres backstroke at the British Championships and Commonweaslth trials in Manchester.

The former world short course record holder, shaved 0.13sec from the British record she set last December winning in two minutes 10.78sec.

The 22-year-old was inside the schedule for a Commonwealth record but with little opposition let it slip from her grasp.

Darren Mew won the 50m breaststroke in 27.64sec while James Hickman took out the 100m butterfly.
