Quins snap up Jones-Bishop

Harlequins have followed up the signing of Leeds academy prop Ben Jones with the capture of his Headingley team-mate Ben Jones-Bishop.

The 21-year-old full-back, who made just one Super League appearance for the champions this year, has signed a 12-month contract with the London club.

"I'm looking forward to experiencing the new challenges that lie ahead at Harlequins," he said. "I'm very eager to play more Super League and hope that I can achieve this in London."

Jones-Bishop is the fifth close-season recruit for Harlequins following the signing of Jones, Andy Ellis (Barrow), Oliver Wilkes (Wakefield) and Matt James (Bradford).

"A lot of people in the game anticipate good things from Ben and we're very happy to bring a player of that calibre to London," said coach Brian McDermott.
