Radcliffe at the double

Paula Radcliffe will run both the 3,000 and 5,000 metres this weekend in a bid to help Britain's women's team back into the Super League of European athletics.

She agreed to add the 3,000m to her programme for the European Cup Division One match in Portugal after Jo Pavey pulled out with a foot injury.

Radcliffe said: "We have got to put out the strongest team."

Meanwhile, world 100m champion Kim Collins will run in the Norwich Union Grand Prix at Crystal Palace on 22 July. He faces Maurice Greene and Britain's Mark Lewis-Francis and Jason Gardener.
