Redknapp to wrap up Nugent deal

David Nugent will be unveiled as a £6million Portsmouth capture in the next 24 hours after Harry Redknapp travelled north to finalise talks with the Preston striker.

Pompey club captain Dejan Stefanovic said: "David is looking to play for England and for that you need to score regularly in the Premier League and play well.

"Fratton Park is going to be a great place for him with Harry here."

Pompey may still move for Sevilla striker Fredi Kanoute, who interests Bolton and Newcastle.
